Because pole dancing is an art to
Pole class 7 last night. Walked out feeling inadequate because I couldn’t nail any moves to perfection except I got the flag down for a bit. Something that stuck with me was my pole instructor Jen said that its better to have two serious attempts at a move than just to half heartedly hit it 3-4 times. And she was right, at least I tried hard on every move and even though it may not have been perfect, she says that’s the best practice ever. So tonight I have level 8 and I’m going in with a positive attitude and my heart set on giving it 100%.
I spent the early afternoon running a few errands and came home and went through a few newspapers, finally working on my essay about Obama health care. I have pole tonight and its so horrible outside- I’ll admit I had second thoughts about going. But then I argued with myself that I would feel worse if I skipped a class, my hands and body wont be desensitized enough so next week wil hurt even more. And besides, I feel like I need to dance, to move, to listen to some music, just tune out for an hour from this bleak weather.
Everyday, we need to do something our future selves will thank us for. Today I will do what others won’t, so tomoro I can do what others can’t.
I really need to stop messing around here, I have dreams and goals that will never be achieved unless I put in the hard work. If we only walk on sunny days, how will we ever reach our destination ?
As theres been a lot of new followers recently, Hi everyone ! Welcome to my blog. I aim to make this blog as personal as I can and not too many reblogs of the same old thing everyone else is doing. So you can expect a lot of my own pole pictures, tips, experiences and reviews.
My name is Brenda - feel free to drop me a message and say hello! I love speaking with other pole girls. I’ve been doing pole since July 2011, I’m still learning & totally in love with pole dancing. I also love ballet, flamenco dancing, boxing, yoga and generally keeping fit and living a healthy, positive life!
I read a lot, everything from nutrition to how to keep your skin clear, to fashion, business and motivational books. I love and adore animals especially cats & am the proud owner of ‘Peachie’ Search through my archives for her story !
I’m currently completing a bachelor of health science at USYD majoring in movement science, hoping to get into physiotherapy! I consider myself multifaceted as I have a wide range of dreams and aspirations. As well as uni, I also work part time as a manager in a well known fashion store which I hope to further my career in as well. Also I hope to one day, compete & teach pole, boxing or yoga. Own my own boutique in the heart of Sydney. And make dance costumes for performances. I’m an aries so I’m very determined and motivated to make it all happen.
Feel free to drop a line, I am getting around to following you all back & I look forward to all your posts. I’m particularly interested in blogs that are unique and the interests centre mainly around dance, star gazing or scenery from around the world!
